Companies & People I’ve Worked With
“Matthew Stubbs MW was one of my first teachers who introduced me to the world of wine. Aside from possessing rich domain expertise in theoretical and practical wine knowledge his methodical and patient approach is integral for wine students of all ages and cultural backgrounds. What distinguishes Matt from other teachers is there is no standard approach, he takes an active interest in the personal development of each student and goes above and beyond to help them achieve their own goals. It has been a pleasure knowing Matt, I have benefited from his kind counsel throughout the years as a newcomer to the industry looking to build a second career with no wine knowledge to a Stage 2 MW student. I am always humbled in his presence, I am glad to call him my teacher and a dear friend.”
“I would not have passed the MW Practical Exam without Matt. His very high level of sophisticated and targeted tasting analysis, and patient coaching sets the standard.”
“I have taken two of Matthew’s courses, WSET L2 and Sud de France Master Level Programme and thoroughly enjoyed them. The content is very interesting, he chooses some fabulous wines to try and shares his depth of knowledge in an open and friendly way. His courses have been very useful as we have many clients who are winemakers and I am now much more confident in working with them.”
